Situated on the Berriedale peninsula, Mona is world-renowned for its daring and thought-provoking exhibitions, all housed in a stunning subterranean labyrinth of tunnels, staircases and dramatic gallery spaces. After exploring, we’ll enjoy a lunch on the lawn with a live music performance.
In the afternoon, we’ll venture to Tunnel Hill Mushroom Farm for a fascinating guided tour. This unique farm grows rare and gourmet mushrooms inside a historic railway tunnel. Learn how these fungi are cultivated and harvested, and discover why Tasmania’s mushroom scene is gaining such gourmet acclaim.

We’ll provide you with a guide to the vegan highlights so you can sample your way through the stalls and find your own lunch to enjoy there or on the way to our next adventure.
Then we’re off to Mount Field National Park, one of Tasmania’s oldest and most beloved national parks. Here, you’ll discover lush temperate rainforest, towering tree ferns, and the stunning, three-tiered Russell Falls — one of Tasmania’s most photographed natural wonders. We’ll explore the renowned Three Falls Walk, a beautiful circuit that takes in Russell Falls, Horseshoe Falls and Lady Barron Falls. There are options for shorter or longer walks, so you can choose the pace and distance that suits you best — all while soaking up the park’s magical forests and cascading streams.

Take in the brilliant white sands and vivid turquoise waters of Binalong Bay, then stroll along the strikingly beautiful Jeanneret Beach, where orange-lichen boulders meet the sea in a truly iconic Tasmanian landscape.

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel before we board our coach for a scenic drive through bushland and rural countryside on our way to Launceston. Along the route, we’ll pause at beautiful Lilydale Falls to stretch our legs and breathe in the fresh forest air before continuing our journey.
Our next stop is Launceston’s famous Cataract Gorge. Hop aboard the Gorge Scenic Chairlift for stunning aerial views of this 140-million-year-old natural wonder. With the world’s longest single span at 308 metres, this peaceful ride offers unforgettable scenery and photo opportunities. Afterwards, explore one of the many surrounding bushwalks (with options for all abilities) while keeping an eye out for local wildlife.
For lunch, we’ll enjoy an outdoor picnic catered by a local vegan café surrounded by the sights and sounds of this beautiful natural setting.
The afternoon continues with a hands-on experience at the Artisa Vegan Cheese Facility, where you’ll take part in a cheese-making masterclass and discover the secrets behind this delicious plant-based artisan cheese. Next up we’ll step back into Tasmania’s past with a visit to the Cascade Female Factory, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Here, you’ll learn about the stories of the women and children once imprisoned within its stone walls — a moving insight into Hobart’s convict history.
